Austin Trout is a member of the 2003 Graduating Class of Mayfield H.S., and a 2004 US Open Amateur Champion and 2004 US Olympic Team Alternate.

He made his professional boxing debut in 2005 in Albuquerque, NM and quickly began making a name for himself within his profession.

In 2009 he became the WBA Fedelatino Light Middleweight Champion and the WBC Continental Americas Light Middleweight Champion.
